Professional Experience
Den brings over 20 years of experience in the Audio/Video Industry to the company. His many years of experience in live sound production and special events enabled him to transition into a significant role in the Permanent Systems industry. Den has worked as a Technical Supervisor and Project Manager for Theme Park Attractions in the United States, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and Thailand. For the past 2 years, Den has been employed with Showorks Systems in Orlando, Florida. During his employment there he has served as Project Manager and General Manager of Operations. Den is currently a Principal member of DSP.
Relevant Experience
- Design System Partners, LLC - Orlando, FL: Principal. Den joined with Bill Bittel and Robert Batten in June of 2002 to form DSP. His responsibilities are varied, including project management, fabrication management, CAD, installation coordination and marketing. Den is currently managing our efforts at SeaWorld Orlando and Calvary Assembly.
- Showorks Entertainment Group - Systems Division - Orlando, FL: Project Manager, General Manager. Responsible for management of specific Audio/Video design and installation projects for a number of clients. Jobs include Kennedy Space Center and Warner Brothers Movie World Madrid.
- Universal Studios Japan: Installation Manager. Responsible for management of installation crews for various attractions at Universal Studios Japan. Supervised the integration of Ride and Show Control systems including audio, animation, effects, and facility interfaces for ET ADVENTURE and TERMINATOR 2 - 3D.
- ET's Adventure - Universal Studios Florida: Installation Technician. Responsible for all aspects of Ride and Show Control Systems upgrade.
- Men In Black - Universal Studios Florida: Installation Manager. Supervised the integration of Ride and Show control systems including audio, animation, effects, and facility interfaces for MIB attraction.
- Toon Lagoon - Universal's Islands of Adventure: Project Manager. Project Manager for all Show Audio and Video systems at Island # 5 for UIOA.
- Jurassic Park - Universal Studios Hollywood: Project Manager. Supervised the installation of all Audio/Video systems for all show elements and support areas.
- Porto Europa - Wakayama, Japan: Project Manager. Supervised the fabrication, packaging, shipping and installation of all Audio/Video systems for all attractions at Porto Europa in Marina City, Wakayama, Japan.
- Star Quest, Earth Scape & Dream Home Pavilions - Taejon World Expo, Taejon South Korea: Installation Manager. Responsible for installation, programming, test, adjust and commissioning of Audio/Video systems for 3 major attractions at the World Expo. Systems included a custom 8-channel DTS audio system locked to 70mm film for a motion-base theater, on-vehicle audio, a 40-foot by 20-foot rear projection system, and the re-creation of an outdoor natural environment inside a building.
- Waterworld Stunt Show - Universal Studios Hollywood: Installation Manager. Responsible for fabrication, installation, testing for all Audio/Video Systems.
- Sentosa Heritage Museum - Singapore: Logistics Manager. Responsible for non-technical aspects of overseas project management, including international shipping, crew logistics, client interface and financial management.
